Fortnite update 5.1 resolves Ghost furtively, but creates a new problem

Fortnite could be celebrating its first birthday with exuberant game cakes and additional challenges, but jubilation was somewhat tempered by the question of ghost pirates, which was a troublesome feat affecting the loot of the game good player base. The people at Epic Games had been trying to fix it for months now and had mixed results.

If you are not aware, hovering over ghosts essentially allows players to shoot on the cover without being seen and expose themselves to the enemy. This is particularly problematic in a game where you can build your own cover at any time. He gets into practice when a player squats. As the Fortnite animation system makes adjustments to ensure that your character's feet are properly positioned on slopes, it also changes their mesh – even when your relative position has not changed – allowing you to stay completely behind the blanket.

If you have ever been wounded by this sniper in the opposite tower without seeing his head take a look, the diagram below (posted on Reddit by Nick Donaldson). Epic) shows you why. "The yellow line is a trace of the center of your camera, the green line is supposed to be the trace of a bullet," he explains. As you can see, ghosting effectively eliminates the risk of pulling your neck out of the cover to trigger a shot.

Phantom sniffing has been a widespread problem; Just search the term on YouTube to discover a myriad of video tutorials that teaches players how to succeed. In the latest v5.1 update, however, Epic claimed to have corrected it, and based on the current evidence that seems to be the case. Huzzah! But do not be too excited for the moment: this solution comes with a caveat. The Ghost Stream Patch Had A Negative Side Effect That Affects Your Ability To Go Down Views

Reddit Grass User — Tastes_Bad first pointed this out, showing how premium skin Cuddle Team Leader will cover half of the screen and your aim reticle when you are positioned on the side on a ramp. The effect is not always so pronounced with the other skins (although shotguns seem to be universally bad as they zoom in on the back of your head), but it still blocks the whole side left of the screen, forcing you to disengage this kind of situations, unless you want your point of view to be seriously hindered.

Phantom sniffing was a problem that needed to be addressed, but the current solution introduced a more serious problem. It is difficult enough to get killed by the new P90 Compact SMG, already very nervous, but still very powerful, without having to fight to keep the enemy player in sight.

Epic has been quick to solve all the problems with Fortnite so far, and they are aware of it, so there is hope that it will be rectified soon. It remains to be seen if this means ghost returns in one form or another, but we may not have left the game yet.
