"Fortnite" Update 6.30 Adds Dynamite & Wild West LTM

New weapon: Dynamite

• Rare rarity, found by stack of three.
• Available from floor booty, chests, vending machines, supply lamas and supply drops.
• 70 player damage and 800 structural damage.
• The explosion has the shape of a flat cylinder
  • 1600 units in diameter and 384 units in height.
• Initiating a throw triggers a five-second fuse that can not be canceled.
• The projection range is shorter than that of standard grenades.

• Scavenger game mode settings:
  • Cap of material reduced from 500 to 300.
  • The number of Clingers and Grenades drops dropped from three to five.
• Secure zone changes
  • Reduction of the circle radius 3 from 20,000 to 15,000
  • Reduction of the radius of the circle 4 from 10,000 to 7,500
  • Circle 4 is now the first circle partially outside the previous safety zone (that was Circle 5)
  • Increased chances of supply decreases in subsequent circles
  • Circle 9 now travels twice as far, but takes twice as long to close

Dynamite does not seem to be too different from the myriad of explosives found in Battle Royale, but it's still an interesting addition to the stack. This would apparently provide a greater impact with less control over each explosion. If you are trying to decimate a larger structure as a well-built base, Dynamite is probably what you would use to demolish it.

With regard to the Wild West game mode, it is interesting to see a LTM focus on the association of Fortnite experience at the base rather than add something new. Last week's Food Fight LTM battle was a radical change from the standard match type. It is therefore surprising to see how these radical changes were compensated a few days later. Hardcore Fortnite Fans have long complained that the game's skill cap is down, but with its smaller pool of weapons, Wild West favors those who work best with precision shots. The deadeye of your team will be victorious, but junkies and junkies will have no chance.
