The Fortnite 6.30 update is expected to be launched today, bringing new weapons, a new limited-time gaming mode, and the expected suite of changes and fixes.
The Battle Royale sees the introduction of the turrets on horseback. Classified in the category of legendary traps, they can only be placed on the floors and managed by players of any team. Mounted turrets use an overheating mechanism instead of ammunition. Fortnite Battle Royale also gets a new limited-time mode called Food Fight, which aims to settle the dispute between pizza and hamburger fans with an unhealthy amount of lead and explosions. The matches begin with an impenetrable barrier separating two restaurants under construction, each housing the team's mascot.
Both teams have a little time to turn their restaurant into a fortress, after which the barrier falls, which starts the total assault on the enemy base. It seems that there is only one room for a mascot in Fortniteland. The weapons are distributed by means of special drops at the beginning of the match. The players reappear after 7 seconds, keeping their inventory and dropping ammo and equipment at their death. The 6.30 update also adds a new solo tournament in the form of the Scavenger Pop-up Cup. Scavenger caps the materials at 500, introduces a faster harvest rate and rewards the health of the players at each kill.
Fortnite's Save The World mode has received many front-end improvements that make it easy to navigate through its menus. New players should also be easier to get used to this mode as new tutorials, characters and quests have been added to the previous game. The skill trees have been converted into upgrade points and have their own upgrades page to make them easier to understand. The same goes for search trees, which have also received their own page. But not all menus and retouching, because the arsenal of Save The World is also enriched with the addition of the Last Word Revolver, a weapon of mid-range with a limited loader but very good damage of head. It alternates between a precise but slow shooting mode when you aim and a faster and less accurate shot when shooting from the hip. Read the patch notes in Update 6.30 for a complete list of changes.
