A new update is on the way for Fortnite. Hotfix 6.20 will be deployed Oct. 24 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, marking the beginning of Fortnitemares' newest fortunate event. This is not all that the update will bring, however; this will also allow you to reuse your kite during a match, but only for a limited time.
As Epic explains on Fortnite's official website, the company is introducing the Soaring 50 LTM glider redeployment mechanism to all Fortnite modes with update 6.20. This means that you will be able to open your wing again and hang it during a match if you have at least three floors in the air. You can see a demonstration of the mechanism in the clip below.
This is not a permanent addition to the game; Epic is only considering the activation of the redeployment mechanism for a week. As the studio explains, "we test how providing a singular mobility mechanism that all players can use will affect normal gameplay".
Interruptions to version 6.20 update are scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) / 12:00 pm (MST) on October 24 at 12:00 pm (Paris time). Epic has not indicated a deadline for the duration of this downtime, but once completed, players will be able to participate in the Fortnitemares event on the theme of Halloween, which will propose new challenges. and "spooky rewards". Epic has not confirmed their nature, but a handful of spooky skins has recently fled.
Meanwhile, the next round of weekly challenges is scheduled for Thursday, October 25th. You'll have the entire season to finish, which will upgrade your Battle Pass and unlock the new Season 6 rewards. If you need help with any of the challenges available at this time you'll find tips in our Fortnite Season 6 Challenge Guide.
