After a delay of a week, a lot of anticipation, a lot of stress, an incalculable amount of tweets and more discussions than the final Lost Epic Games finally released the very expected LTM Playground. The new mode was supposed to go online last week but was hit by multiple delays, and players had to look over the weekend to find a new word on the new Fortnite mode . But, Epic has finally delivered on the long-awaited mode that players have been looking forward to since the company announced for the first time that a new addition was coming.
The news came via a tweet from the official Fortnite Twitter account . The tweet reveals that players can finally jump into the new LTM Playground and experience all the fun that was originally set to go online last week.
On the Reddit thread for Fortnite, the update post explains that after going through some snags, the team finally flattened the servers and improved the matchmaking for the Playground LTM to work as planned.
You will have to go to the locale and make sure to highlight "auto selection" and check that you're on the right regional channel so matchmaking can connect you to the right group of players (something that Players from PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds continue to complain to this day).
Interestingly, Epic also noted that the Playground Limited Time Mode will also receive a developer postmortem for anyone wishing to learn more about the technical hurdles that Epic had to overcome when working on the mode and how the team had to take it up. he was racing against the clock and trying to overcome the delay of the week.
Initially, the LTM Playground was to go into action for Fortnite last week. In short, the mode was live and the players were able to jump and test the feature. However, things did not go very well and the team had to announce a day later that the Playground MTL had to be postponed.
Epic tried to make it work before the weekend, but it was useless and the team finally had to spend the week-end testing the matchmaking feature and to try to make the Playground LTM servers as stable as possible before putting them online.
Over the weekend, Epic confirmed Question LTM Playground Monday morning. And, later in the day, the company confirmed that the mode had been posted for Fortnite users.
After not so long waiting during the week, fans and enthusiastic players are now able to jump and see what everyone is talking about. Fortnite is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
