Free Battlefield 5 Post-Launch DLC Plans Described

The first "chapter" of this post-release content, dubbed Overture, is expected to arrive in December, about two weeks after the game's launch. It will feature the tank-based Panzerstorm map and an additional war story called The Last Tiger. In addition to this, DICE will implement vehicle customization and the first iteration of the game's practice range, as well as weekly events.

The second chapter of Tides of War, Lightning Strikes, will be launched in January-March. It adds the Combined Weapons cooperative mode, in which you and up to three other players can perform Combat Strike missions on multiple cards. In addition, Lightning Strikes brings the new Squad Conquest mode, an improved Rush mode and another assortment of weekly events and rewards.

The third chapter of DICE's post-launch content is called Trial by Fire and its launch is scheduled for March. Firestorm, the Battle Royale style Battlefield V style, is the biggest asset of the game. It supports up to 64 players divided into teams of four and, like other Royal Battle games, position them on an increasingly restricted map to become the last remaining team. Trial by Fire will also add a new map of Greece and more events and weekly rewards.
