Frozen Fortnite traps slow down and damage opponents

Fortnite has been creating leaks since the launch of Season 6, and we now have the untimely revelation of a new trap type. The datamines have exposed Freeze Traps in the game's files, so it looks like you'll soon be giving bad time to unsuspecting opponents.

The Freeze Trap is a Rare Major that "hits all enemies on the trap when they are triggered, causing small damage and slowing down players." This should give you a chance to take advantage of your opponent's limited mobility work yourself. No words yet about specific damage values, slow rates or debuff times.

This datamine comes courtesy of FNBRLeaks on Twitter. As always, when we have a leak of this nature, it should be repeated that there was no confirmation from Epic when or if the new feature is coming. The presence of the trap in the game files only suggests that it has been at a stage of development of Royal Battle.

The Freeze Traps are already part of Fortnite in the original configuration of the game Save the World, and they will probably have a similar appearance in Battle Royale. In PvE mode, they completely freeze enemies – but it's probably a step away from PvP.

Other recent leaks have revealed a Oktoberfest flag-catching mode and skins – these are already in the shop of objects. We will see how quickly Freeze Traps will do the same as new updates reach the new season.
