Galaxy S10 will be packed with exciting new technologies, but it's the best leak yet – BGR

The sequel to Samsung's most annoying flagship smartphone promises to be the company's most exciting flagship smartphone for years – or maybe someday. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 + have not been a hit with Android fans, and the reason is that it's not really a mystery. The phones look almost identical to last year's Galaxy S8 and S8 + and they do not include any new features that could offset the recycled design. Fortunately, Samsung has something really special for the tenth anniversary of the Galaxy S line.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to be a complete redesign of the company's flagship Android product, both inside and out. It is said to be Samsung's first phone with an on-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and it sports a new triple-lens camera on the back. The first 7nm chipsets from Samsung and Qualcomm will power the phone, which will also include next-generation RAM chips. It would also be a new evolution of the Infinity Display design, which is characterized by an all-screen design like the phones that other companies have marketed over the past year. That's fine, but the last leak of the Galaxy S10 may be the best for Android fans.

If Android fans hate more than anything else, it's … well … literally everything Apple does. That's why 2018 has been a difficult year for Android fans – almost every Android phone maker on the planet has copied Apple's iPhone X design from 2017. Some fans of Android have managed to convince themselves, since Essential has released a phone with a notch in the display before Apple. Of course, most Android fans are a lot less crazy and they can see exactly which design has been copied over and over by Android phone manufacturers.

Ironically, one company did not copy Apple's iPhone X design: Samsung. Why is it ironic? Because Samsung literally wrote the book on the copy of Apple. And yet, the notch is not found on all smartphones released by Samsung since the release of the iPhone X more than a year ago. Samsung has become a safe haven for Android fans who refuse to buy a phone that replicates Apple's design, and we now have good news: Samsung phones will continue to be free for the foreseeable future.

In response to a question from someone on Twitter, Samsung's first Internet user, Ice Universe, confirmed that Samsung did not intend to release phones with notches in their screens. His message was a response to a questioned person about a report that the famous person who provided the leak had given to Samsung Mobile's boss, DJ Koh. Yes, a formerly anonymous person who regularly leaks unannounced information about Samsung products has apparently been charged by Samsung to create a report on Samsung's products and strategies. Yeah, it does not make more sense to us than to you. In any case, here is the tweet in question:

Ice Universe has made many such statements in the past on unseen devices from Samsung, and its record is eloquent. For Samsung fans, the main advantage is that the next Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +, which are the new phones most expected from Samsung for years, will not include a screen. We know that the phone will include a redesign of Samsung's Infinity Display design and that Android fans can now rest assured that the new design does not include Apple's iPhone X ink.
