Google announces a surprise launch of Pixel 3 XL tomorrow – BGR

Google's Pixel 3 event will take place tomorrow and, thanks to one of the most leaky predilection seasons of all time, we have a pretty good idea of what lies ahead. In addition to the usual renderings, photos, landmarks and specification leaks, we also witnessed multiple supposed reviews of the device, which has not really happened since the infamous incident caused by the iPhone 4.

But there is also a theory that at least some of the leaks were planned by Google to sow misinformation before the event, and that there would be a big revelation coming tomorrow that no one expected. Google teases this theory with the release of a new video today, which connects two prominent YouTubers, claiming that everything about Pixel 3 XL has already filtered and nothing interesting will happen.

In the video, which was teased on Twitter, Google recorded clips of some YouTubers talking about Pixel 3 XL leaks, before showing a single embarrassed emoji. This could be Google's annoyance with all the leaks, but it could also be a way to suggest that something exciting ahead awaits us tomorrow, which we are not aware of.

If so, this is an initiative of Google's public relations team. According to information reported a month ago, Google asked YouTubers for permission to use clips from leakage videos of Pixel 3 XL. This strategy seems to have been in place for a month.

This does not necessarily mean, however, that any leaks we have found are inaccurate or predicted as part of a misinformation campaign. Nowadays, half of the features of the new phones are software-enabled, and for all the hardware leaks we've seen so far, it's much easier to keep the details of the software secret.

In both cases, we only have one day left to know the truth. The Google event will take place in New York at 11:00 am (Eastern time) tomorrow, October 9, and we'll have all the details here.
