Google has updated its USB-C headset adapter just in time for Pixel 3 – BGR

Like it or not, the 3.5mm headphone jacks go in the direction of the dodo. Even after being mocked by Apple for eliminating the headphone jack in 2016, Google ended up removing the port itself a year later. In fact, the Pixel 2 comes with a USB-C headphone jack adapter that looks a lot like Apple's built-in dongle.

In the beginning, Google charged $ 20 for the adapter, but quickly lowered the price to $ 9 to match the Apple adapter when consumers would be understandable. But now Google is increasing its price to 12 dollars because it introduces a new model of adapter smaller and more powerful than its predecessor.

Spotted by Android fontThe Google Store page of the USB-C adapter to 3.5 mm has been updated to reflect the price and features of the new model. According to the list, the $ 12 adapter has 38% longer playback time than the original model and offers a 53% improvement in module latency. It is also slightly smaller than the 2017 adapter, measuring 3.67 inches long, 0.46 inches wide and 0.3 inches high and weighing only 0.17 grams.

Google has not yet announced the smartphones Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, but since the old headphone adapter has been replaced on the Google site, it goes without saying that it will be the adapter that came with the new phones pixel.
