The wait is finally over. For all Google fans, the search giant on the Internet has confirmed the date of its next hardware event. A month later, on October 9, Google will organize a launch event in New York. Media invitations for the event have already been released, which suggests when launching "Made by Google" devices. However, attention will be focused on the stars of the day – Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL – which will be unveiled with other products.

The invitation was posted by 9to5Google which includes a GIF that animates "I <3 NY", followed by Google's "G" logo. The heart made of a "3" is probably an illusion for the Pixel 3. Besides the Pixel 3 models, the event is likely to be the place where Google could unveil its new Pixelbook offering. On top of that, Google could probably bring a Smart Display powered by Google Assistant to take on Amazon Echo Show and Echo Spot as previously mentioned.

To return to the Pixel models, there have been many leaks and speculations to date. It is widely assumed that Pixel 3 will come with a 5.5-inch screen and a Snapdragon 845 SoC. This will clearly be a Pixel 2 upgrade that had a 5-inch screen and a Snapdragon 835 SoC. The new handset would also have a larger battery of 2 915 mAh than the 2700 mAh battery of the Pixel 2.

The Pixel 3 XL, meanwhile, should embrace the notch of the screen and the dual cameras before sport. A smartphone was recently spotted in a Lyft cabin that would have been the Pixel 3 XL. However, it would be wiser to wait until October 9 to see what are the key developments planned by Google for this year. In the meantime, the company is already ready to broadcast live their next event on the Made by Google YouTube channel. It will start at 11:00 am EST, 8:30 pm local time.

For the uninitiated, this year's Google event stands out from the San Francisco hospitality tradition. Google's inaugural event in 2016 and last year's follow-up took place in San Francisco. In addition, it will be held five days later, on October 9, instead of October 4.
