On Friday morning, Apple began taking iPhone XS and XS Max pre-orders in more than 30 countries and territories where both phones will be launched next week. In two weeks, iPhones fans in more than 25 additional countries will be able to pre-order both handsets. This means that customers from over 55 international markets will be able to purchase two of the three new iPhones that Apple has just launched before the Pixel 3 series show. If you're Google, that's a good reason to start teasing Pixel 3 phones the same day that Apple started taking iPhone XS pre-orders.
After announcing to the world a few days ago that it will organize a launch of Pixel 3 on October 9 in Paris in addition to the press conference in New York already confirmed the same day, Google has published the following image on its shop in line:
It only shows a "3", as well as a prompt to "get the scoop" by signing up by e-mail. If you've followed the rumors of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL and we've had a ton in recent weeks, you know that the "3" can only refer to Pixel 3 phones. And if you also follow the theory "Pixel Ultra" conspiracy, you secretly hope that "3" means that Google will unveil three new pixels next month.
In addition, Google has released Pixel 3 teasers in Japan that look like this:
The design is interactive, allowing you to rotate the phone. Click on the "G" logo and the colors change. What's also interesting is that Google puts forward a flawless Full Screen Pixel 3 design in these images. We do not expect Google to launch a phone that looks like this graphic.
That's all that Google had to share about new Pixel phones right now, and if you're the kind of Android user that only buys Nexus and Pixel hardware, then you'll have at least a month to wait I can get one. Interestingly, by the time the Pixel 3 phones are actually delivered, Apple will have the other iPhone out. The iPhone XR, which, in my opinion, is a terrible news for Google and Android, will be available for pre-order on October 19 and will be released a week later.
