A "criticism" of Pixel 3 XL seems to confirm that Google has adopted the main facets of the design of the iPhone XS Max, while the Google phone arrives in stores in Hong Kong.

Video embedded in a review * of Unwire.HK begins by showing the critic how to enter a store and buy a Pixel 3 XL.

The review goes on comparing the Pixel 3 XL to the iPhone XS Max (see image below). If legitimate, the Pixel 3 XL not only has the notch of the iPhone and its front without bezel (mostly), but is of similar size, displaying a 6.3-inch screen (vs. 6.5 inches from the iPhone XS Max), as the Unwire.HK review shows.

These are not trivial features because they define roughly the front of the Pixel 3 XL.

The departures of the iPhone XS Max include a chin at the bottom and a narrower and larger notch. The front camera is also different: the Max has a 7 MP camera while the Pixel would have two 8 MP cameras.

And to be fair, the back of the Pixel 3 XL looks nothing like that of the iPhone. The XL has a fingerprint reader and single lens camera, which apparently has been modified and is not physically identical to the current back camera of Google Pixel.

The Unwire.HK review also makes photo comparisons between the Pixel 3 XL and the iPhone XS Max.

Many things have already been reported – we saw a criticism of Pixel 3 XL from Rozetked, based in Russia, in August. But the latest leak of Unwire.HK brings out the similarities of the iPhone XS Max.

Google will officially announce the phones on October 9th.

And Engadget has his own criticism now. Of course, we do not know if these reviews are the official end product of Google, which should announce the new phones on October 9.

Interestingly, the review of Unwire.HK indicates that there is a blue hue in the display of the Pixel 3 XL: an excessive shift of the blue was a problem with the old screens Pixel 2 XL .
