H1Z1 gets the re-formed development team & # 39; and a new name: Z1 Battle Royale

Royal Battle Shooter H1Z1 gets a makeover. As part of a "reconstituted development team", it will soon be known as the Z1 Battle Royale, and its latest update aims to ease the transition by tackling the long waits for matches and adjusting a pile of weapons.

Bullet speed, bullet drop, and fire rate were adjusted on a variety of weapons, including the AR-15, AK-47, M-9, and shotgun. But what is perhaps more interesting, it is the changes made to matchmaking, which should allow players to play faster.

H1Z1 still has a decent number of players – by the time I write this, 7,000 people are playing – but that's not enough for the matches to fill up instantly. To counter this, Daybreak Games caps the lobby's wait time to 135 seconds, when matches will start as long as there are two or more players waiting. The lower the number of players, the smaller the starting safety zone.

You will no longer be able to choose where you play solo, duet or five, but the development team has moved from a starting location to "ensure proper looting at the beginning of the match" . The game time has also been set in the middle of the afternoon and the weather will be sunny 90% of the time, which will facilitate the detection of enemies.

Finally, all matches will now be considered ranked matches, so you will be rewarded even if there are only a handful of players, and you will be associated with other players in depending on your level of account.

Again, you can read the full patch notes for more details.

The developer Daybreak Games has recently removed the survival mode of H1Z1, citing the low number of players.
