Halloween Halloween Overwatch: Each new Halloween Terror 2018 character skin for the next event

Blizzard has consistently revealed new themes for Overwatch in recent days, in anticipation of the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event – which will begin tomorrow (October 9th).

Blizzard confirmed the start date of the seasonal event earlier this week with an encrypted message that reads simply:

"There is a rumor among the explorers
About a monolithic hideout
Welcome to terrifying horrors
Hero, how are you preparing? "

Unfortunately, a Public Realm Realm achievements menu seemed to reveal appearances coming sooner than Blizzard had hoped for, and since the accidental leak, we've seen the developer slowly work on the listed characters.

You can see teased skins – and what has been revealed up to now – below.

Up to now, Moira, Pharah, Hammond, Widowmaker and Doomfist have been revealed.

If previous events are waiting for you, we can expect return skins to cost 1,000 credits, while new skins will cost you 3,000 credits.

It looks like we can expect a new card potentially abandoned along the way – Blizzard tweeted "There's a rumor among explorers about a monolithic lair" … does that mean we can we expect a new location for our getaways? It is probable.

At the time of writing this article, we are still waiting for a skin ad from Blizzard. We will probably have this evening (Monday around 15h, Paris time).

It is possible that the new skin is the Solider 76 – this is the only realistic gap in the list disclosed (below) that we have seen so far.

User McManus26 on Reddit has some theories about what these new skins could be, which we have included below:

Top left:
Hammond Scarecrow. This icon is very similar to the default Wrecking Ball icon. The skin could also be called "Ghost", one of the legendary names recently disclosed, but it's not the only competitor.

High medium:
Brigitte or Moira. My money is on Brigitte with a different hairpiece / tiara to hold her bangs rather than her brand pins. Maybe also "Ghost", or "Spider Queen" if the toupee is really a tiara, although I'm naturally inclined to think that a spider's skin would go to Widowmaker.

Top right:
Winston. I've heard some Doomfist speculation on this one, but Winston is the only one to have his big monkey nose included in his player icons. Looks a little like the creature of the black lagoon?

At the bottom left:
Pharah knight. The shape of the helmet is exactly the same. Pharah is also a character who wears armor and could easily take a funny medieval twist – while Brigitte and Reinhardt already have a medieval theme, which would make a skin that would follow this theme a little useless.

Bottom middle:
Soldier slasher: 76. Between the theme of the mask, the scar on the face and the similar hairstyle, this one is the most obvious. The leak "slasher" is obviously a reference of Friday the 13th.

Bottom right:
Bride Sombra between the similar haircut, the double strong point in the hair (which, in my opinion, is at the origin of this skin: Sombra had already 2 bridal shots in the hair) and the neck of the coat, there are many allusions to Sombra.
