The name of the Porsche 935 is legendary on the racing scene, having dominated the endurance races around the world in the 1970s. But recently, after many years, Porsche introduced a new model that develops 690 horses, costs over $ 800,000 and is just as breathtaking as the original. Here is an overview of the car on the track and in the studio.

In the video below, Porsche designers and engineers explain how they developed the new 935 road special. They also tackle the slightly modified versions of the 3.8 liter twin-turbo engine of the 911 GT2 RS and the PDK transmission of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Despite the fact that its powertrain was essentially the same, the 935 was designed to surpass the 911 on the track. Like it should be.

Exterior designer Grant Larson said his team started working on the car a little over a year ago in July 2017. He only had three to four days left to make his first sketch. Which is amazing because the results speak for themselves:

It's a magical car, but only 77 copies will be made. Which means that most of us will probably have to rely on pretty images like the one shown above to meet our needs in 935. That's a shame.
