Here is an overview of the new mechanics of the BMW 3 Series 2019

I am present at the Paris Motor Show, right next to the new BMW 3 Series 2019. I've taken a bunch of pictures of mechanical parts, interior and sheet metal. But if you want to see something more, please let me know. I am ready to test my index that presses the trigger.

I'll start with my favorite photo, the aerodynamic shield located on the control arm of the five-link rear suspension:

Something about strategically placed aerodynamic shields designed to divert air from non-aerodynamic surfaces makes me happy.

Whatever it is, while I was crawling on the floor of the Universal Exhibition of Paris Porte de Versailles, I took a picture of the rear differential and its unbelievably flat belly (ignore this catch which comes from below, it's just there to keep the information of the car so that we, reporters, can fiddle with them):

I then went to the front to take a look at the "double seal" type suspension. Here is an overview of the back; notice the side link at the bottom, the strut at the top of the axle rocket and the tension link in the car:

Here is a preview of the front, with the tension link coming out of the screen (towards the front of the car) and the rack below left:

Powertrains? Yes, series 3 has it. So let's look at them. Here's the 330i 3.0-liter turbo:

There are not too many fun things to see, but if you want another angle of this bonnet, here it is:

Here's an overview of the 320d's 2.0-liter diesel engine:

At least you can easily use some of the turbo and thermal protection on it:

Whatever it is, here are some other BMW 3 Series 2019 photos taken from the floor of the Paris Motor Show:

If you want to see something else, let me know. I'm here for you.
