Here's a teaser of the seventh generation BMW series before it debuts in Paris

The world-famous and iconic BMW 3 Series sedan is approaching the end of its average life after reaching the age of seven this year. Nevertheless, a new series 3 of the seventh generation is in preparation and the crew of BMW has just released some teasers to give us a little taste.

In anticipation of a global revelation at the 2018 World Auto Show next month, the new-generation BMW 3 Series takes on the internal "G20" designation, leaving behind the "F30" of the previous car.

We do not know much about the next 3rd generation. But from the various spy photos available on the Internet and teasers shared by BMW themselves, the new 3 Series seems to adopt many landmarks and similarities with the current 'G30' Series 5 – not surprisingly since the Series 3 has a habit of inspiring his dearest brothers.

For example, the outgoing generation of Series 3 drew many similarities with the previous generation of Series 5 "F10", while the previous generation, the "E90" Series 3 captured Generation 5 bits "E60" .

Rumors circulating on the Web suggest that the car that is the subject of a draw is specifically the model "M340i", or the off-the-M version with the choice of the most powerful engine in the range. This would of course be the legendary and the latest 3.0-liter turbo petrol engine from BMW. The BMW M designation does not mean that it is a full-size M model, but rather an "M Sport" car with a sports package. This usually adds a more aggressive body kit; steering, brakes and sports suspension; options and custom equipment; and lots of badges M.

While not being a complete M3, the 3 Series M Sport is a traditional trim level, offering buyers the opportunity to gain performance on the standard car without having to upgrade to the M3.

For the new generation of the 3-series, in addition to the six-cylinder overhead, we expect the base model will continue to serve a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine. Although the future of Series 3 diesel remains uncertain for the North American market.

We also expect the range of 3 series to develop with a new hybrid model and an all-electric version possible, as BMW clearly shows in a difficult electrification effort.
