Here's how to get back the new Lil 'Kev Cube from Fortnite before it's too late

With all the madness that has happened in Fortnite Yesterday, with the explosion of the cube, players being transported into the dimensional fracture matrix of the cube, then brought back to earth by a divine butterfly, it is perhaps unfortunate that you can get something that commemorates our time with the cube.

It would be a new set of challenges that reward "Lil Kev", a part of the inactive wide-eyed cube, the name referring to the fact that the community came together to name the cube "Kevin", a meme that Epic has now recognized with this article.

To get Lil Kev by yourself, you have to complete what is probably one of the easiest challenges I've seen in the game:

  • Play 15 games
  • Earn 5000 XP
  • Survive 500 opponents

The only problem is that you only have seven days to do it before you have another chance. Now, six days, considering that we are already a day. This can clearly be done relatively easily in a week, but I'm not sure most people realize that this is a limited time offer. Most other challenges, such as the weekly and Skull Trooper challenges, last much longer, but Lil Kev is a limited time offer for players wanting to play a decent amount in the first week of Fortnite after Kevin.

At first, I was confused about this bling back because in the preview, you can not see the eyes. But it's just because of the angle. The eyes are actually on the side of the cube, not the back, which is why you can not see them in the preview. It's not a progressive skin where they open over time, which could be the case when I first saw this.

Have we seen Kevin's last? This seems to be the case. The only remnant of the cube on the map is the new Cube Stonehenge Island formation located in the middle of Leaky Lake, which is now also covered with a rainbow. It seems like the game is about to move on and we may have finished with fractures, cubes and purple impulses, but since there are still weeks to go this season, I would not be surprised to see new calamity interrupt early this moment of peace.

Kevin will miss me because I've been chasing him for about a season now, first when he rolled, then when he floated, and then when he exploded. But I guess we'll still have Lil Kev, with the other Cube-themed skins like Deadfire and the nasty Brite Bomber.

Goodbye Kevin, you were … I still do not know what you were, actually.
