Fortnite, the game that took the hostage stage for much of 2018, continues to expand its grip on the medium. Having first conquered PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4 and iOS, Epic Games has decided to turn to the next platform to receive Fortnite: Android.

However, there is no release date set for when the game will arrive on Android, nor a schedule for a beta. Epic Games has been deliberately vague so as not to have to commit to strict deadlines, so if you see any fixed dates currently in circulation, assume that they are wrong.

In a blog post, Epic Games stated that it "is targeting this summer for [Android]". We will have to wait for any news about supported devices or system requirements, as Epic noted that "we promise that when we have more information to share, you will hear it first."

There you can continue to play Fortnite on all other major platforms – with the 125 million other people playing the game! Good luck hanging on this sweet royal victory.
