Honor Magic 2 is expected to be launched at an event scheduled for Oct. 31 in China. Chinese actress Zanilia Zhao posted several live images of the Honor Magic 2, which would have been given to her by Huawei herself. The publication on Weibo shows the future smartphone in a variant of red color. The message from the actress also reveals that the phone will receive a personalized virtual assistant called "Yoyo". The back of the Magic 2 is equipped with a triple camera at the back, the three sensors being aligned vertically.
Honor Magic 2 specifications
A recently released TENAA list indicates that the rear camera configuration will include a 16 megapixel main sensor, a 24 megapixel secondary sensor, and a 16 megapixel tertiary sensor.
The TENAA list also reveals some other specifications of the Honor Magic 2. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and sports a full-HD + 6.39-inch AMOLED display (1080×2340 pixels) in 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core SoC, combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of integrated storage.
The phone seems to have a total of 6 cameras; a combo of 16 + 24 + 16 megapixels in the back and a combo of 16 + 20 + 2 megapixels in the front. If this were the case, it would be the first smartphone in the world to achieve such a feat. The Honor Magic 2 is listed to receive a 3400 mAh battery under the hood, with support for 40W fast charging. Other features include an integrated fingerprint sensor and 3D facial recognition.
