Nintendo shared new details for the Poké Ball Plus over at the official Japanese website, with extra info on how it can be used as a Pokémon GO Plus device in Pokémon GO. [Thanks, Serebii.]
While the Poké Ball Plus is being made as a controller for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, it can be used as Pokémon GO Pro device with different functions that vary depending on if it has a Pokémon inside.
You can get a Pokémon from Let’s Go and put it in the Poké Ball Plus to get rewards in the Switch game. When there’s a Pokémon inside the Poké Ball Plus while using it in Pokémon GO Plus mode for smartphones, it spins all PokéStops automatically on its own without prompting you.
When used in Pokémon GO Plus mode without a Pokémon in the device, it notifies through vibrations, so pretty much acts as a regular Pokémon GO Plus and you still need to press the button.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! release on November 16, 2018 for Nintendo Switch. Pokémon GO is available for iOS and Android. You can check out the full specs on the Poké Ball Plus in our previous report.
