Brilliant Pokémon are like badges for the hardcore player – a collection of rare monsters, with unique colors, is very coveted. What was once an autonomous activity is now encouraged by developers, with Pokémon: Let's go! having both an object in the game and a proven method to help capture the brilliants. And of course, the players get the most out of it.
How to capture a brilliant Pokemon is simplified for Let's go!, making it easier than ever to search for these special monsters. It will take a lot of time, but it's actually a bit of fun if you want to catch an obscene amount of Pokémon.
How to hunt bright Pokémon in Pokémon: let's go!
Players have reached a relative consensus on looking for a brilliant Pokémon in Let's go!and it takes a lot of patience. And if you want an extra boost, you must first become a Pokémon Master.
We will first recommend a more accessible and better tested method. Most players are lucky to chain their combinations, which are accumulated when capturing several identical Pokémon species. The more you increase your chain, the more likely you are to find a brilliant Pokémon. Once you have reached the maximum, 31 (although you can continue to catch more of the same type of Pokémon afterwards), you will now have a 341 chance of achieving a shine. The combo will reset if you exit the home menu, interrupt it by catching another non-shining monster or a Pokémon fleeing a fight.
What you need to do then is wait. Either you catch the same Pokémon all the time until you meet a brilliant version of the type you like, or just pacing until that shine appears. (You will immediately recognize them on the Overseas World Map or see them sparkle.)
A rating of 341 is not yet the most encouraging, but it's way better than the standard probability without sequence of combinations: one in 4,096.
If you want to further reduce this base number, as long as you do not really want to follow the wrestling combo, you must have all the Pokémon in the Kanto area. After capturing 151 people, head to Celadon City and visit the Game Freak offices. (This pretty Easter egg is in the back of a building bounded by a lonely Poliwhirl.) The in-game manager will hand out a Bright charm element, which reduces the number of one in 4,096 to one in 1,365. This is a very big difference, of course.
If you have a brilliant charm in your bag and you also follow the trick of the wrestling combo, the chances of finding a shine are even better. A 293 Pokémon could be brilliant. If you add a Lure, an item that attracts Pokémon, you get the optimal number, which is one out of 273. (These odds are provided courtesy of Serebii fansite.)
A brilliant and successful hunt
It is common to see Pokémon fans now share their brilliant collections of Let's go!, including the launch of brilliant hunting streams and contests to which viewers can participate. Content creators such as Pokémon Master Holly and Mystic7, big names in Pokemon Go community, are among those who regularly share their conquests.
These can both inspire jealousy and a secret motivation in you to find your own brilliant Chansey, Charmander or Ponyta, or whatever suits you. Let's go!The hunting version is certainly much easier than trying to find it in a previous game in the Kanto area.
