We have reached the third and final raid Pokémon GO'S summer of live events. Niantic tasked players with completing the last year of the year.

Moltres raids today. They start at 11 AM PT, and you can check out time zones for other regions here. It's not just that Moltres is returning for three hours, it's just taking over every gym for three hours in a non-stop raiding marathon.

The main attraction, of course, is the change to secure yourself to a Moltres shiny. Unlike shiny Articuno and shiny Zapdos, shiny Moltres Pokémon GO. Rather than being yellow and orange, and you can really see the change. Those are always the best shinies, like black Charizard or green Dragonite. Add pink Moltres to that list, and he's one you're definitely not going to want to miss today.

So, how do you get him? First step is to go somewhere with a lot of gyms, probably a city or a major park. The more gyms that are around, the more Moltres you'll be able to fight and try to catch, increasing your chance at finding a shiny. And remember, you'll find one, shinies are self-catching, so you do not have to worry about screwing up the last stage of the process.

The odds, as always, are not really in your favor. Spawn rates for shiny raid bosses in these conditions have hovered between 3-5%, meaning that you need a shiny version, on average. But you can do it much better than that, and catch it even more with any shiny luck. That's just the way it goes, so you want to make sure you're in this three hour block.

This is different than Community Day because you can probably farm 50-100 Community Day Pokémon easily in two hours between spawns, lures and incense. That's why these shiny raid bosses are some of the most rare Pokémon in the game, because they're so tough, and they're going to appear again. That's compared to Pokémon Day Community which are not flat-out removed from the game in the wake of their special day.

So, it's going to be a frantic three hours today. Pack an extra battery, put your walking shoes on it, and try to land that great shiny Moltres. Happy hunting.
