HTC Vive opens its VR store to users of Oculus Rift

HTC and Valve have opened the Vive Virtual Reality Headset Digital Shop to its biggest competitor. This means that Oculus Rift users playing Facebook-owned headset games can now start buying and downloading games and apps from HTC's Viveport store.

Oculus Rift users may already have options like Steam and Oculus, but the new compatibility offers users more options for navigation and comparison. Nevertheless, most of the titles contained in Viveport are not compatible with Oculus Rift helmets. Of the 1,400 titles, only about 200 are compatible with Oculus headsets.

A Viveport subscription service component, launched last year by HTC, allows users to access an unlimited number of games and apps in exchange for a monthly subscription. The three-month plan currently costs $ 19.99, the six-month plan, $ 39.99 and the 12-month plan, $ 79.99. HTC is launching a promotion until September 16, offering customers certain titles such as Fruity Shooty and Final Soccer VR to keep constantly, according to the plan you choose.
