What is happening in Vegas … is recorded and shared in a technical review article a few days later? I'm not sure if I'm doing Sin City properly, but hey, welcome to my extravagance of the Note 9 tour, filled with photos taken on Samsung hardware, honest reports about "battery life all day" and not less than three offers in the light of day for hard drugs by strangers walking along the Strip (because what trip to Vegas would be complete without unsolicited illegal offers?). Remember the era of the 90s when the City of Lights was trying to transform itself into a family destination without threats. Yes, it's still very slimy.

A bit of context before you start: A few weeks ago, Samsung was kind enough to send me a Note 9 note, and in my writer's boring and uneventful life, I enjoyed it very much. expensive phone, portable Fortnite and using the giant screen to type draft articles on Google Docs. But in truth, I really wanted to test the device in a more realistic / practical setting, so when an opportunity arose to visit the Nevada desert oasis for the first time for probably over a decade, I jumped on the occasion. Note 9 firmly in hand, I caught a crowded plane directly into the busy city of lost wages, determined to put Samsung's flagship mobile gadget through the appropriate steps … as well as visit all the places of filming Chevy Chase Vegas Vacations. Because the reasons

The first day I was in Las Vegas, I spent a good eight hours walking around and exploring on my own. So, with a 100% charged rating, I ventured into the smoke, the slot machines and the slightly intoxicating crowds (even at 9:30, there were people wandering around with these gorgeous margarita glasses) judging you do, my brother). Staying at Venetian, this hotel was my natural starting point and until this weekend, I would have never spent much time in the Italian-inspired resort. Yes, indoor gondola rides are a little tacky, but everything is so well designed that I could not help but be impressed.

After The Venetian, I headed across the street to the Mirage, convinced that I would introduce myself as Nick Papagiorgio to anyone who wished. I've always thought that the facade of this classic hotel, from the heavenly waterfront to the tropical interior atrium, was one of the most beautiful gaming establishments. It makes "Vegas decadent" in a lush way, accessible, not too pretentious or chic, a sort of exotic getaway accessible directly from the strip. Later, during my trip, I was also able to take some pictures of the hotel facade and erupting volcano, the latter being something that I love to watch since my childhood. Nothing like fire and pre-recorded drums to boil the blood of an 11-year-old child.

My next stop was the Caesars Palace Forum Shops, another classic destination from my annual family vacation. This has always been one of my favorite places to check, even for the painted sky ceiling and countless Greco-Roman sculptures. Although, to be honest, there were two attractions here that had the habit of upsetting my world and which, unfortunately, have completely disappeared: the first was the huge FAO Schwarz, a toy store of three floors with a velociraptor in a cage Jurassic Park in a large video game department (I remember almost buying Virtua Tennis for the Dreamcast, probably in the summer of 2000). The FAO apparently closed its doors in Las Vegas in 2010 and the Trojan trojan that has been hosting guests since 1997, as well as a whole country of amazing toy and candy wonders, has been replaced by H & M – DJ boom. Talk about depressing.

The other big draw for a long time is the Race for Atlantis ride, one of the best 3D motion simulators I have ever known. Allow me to paint a nostalgic image: after a short wait in a waiting line bathed in black light, you donned these glasses (at the time) at the cutting edge of technology and participated in a Underwater tank race through the parades. the glowing streets of the city, all via a massive Imax screen. In short, it was amazing. As a solemn tribute, I walked through the Nike Shop in its place, wondering if I should scream, cry or both. The shoes are just as exciting as a brilliantly crafted artwork, is not it? Thanks to my overwhelming disappointment, I still managed to take solid interior shots with the Note 9, which clearly shows the low-light aperture, I think.

Then there was the Bellagio, a hotel I had always considered a very smart kid, probably because the kids were literally not allowed to enter. I'm not sure it's always politics, but I remember missing out and wondering how decadent she was. Were the walls made of chocolate infused with gold? Have the fountains overflowed with Coca-Cola? Does every room have a PlayStation and free Now & Laters? By visiting now in adulthood, I can say that it was not as upscale as I had imagined, although the Bellagio chose to reflect the current season in its garden. Winter, in this case the autumn. Check out all of these incredible works of art that populate the facility, as well as nightly photos of the outdoor water show and a chocolate fountain that I desperately want to own.

Following this, I went to Shake Shack for the first time. Verdict? Homemade lemonade and the burger SmokeShack were delicious. The french fries were weak in hell. There was also an In-N-Out stop later in the trip, which was better. Don @ @

After refueling with junk food, I finally arrived in New York-New York, a hotel where I spent all the time with my family. Without hesitation, I headed straight for the place where I remembered the arcade and, by a small miracle, she was still there and had not been replaced by a connected oxygen bar or charging benches for mobile phones. Structurally, it seemed largely unchanged even though most of the games were modern. Quick side: I remember seeing Hydro Thunder here for the first time in the summer of 1999, a whole series of turquoise cabinets beating bass m & # 39; s call with incredible water graphics and this infamous xtreme announcer. At the time, the release of the game was scheduled for the North American launch of Dreamcast in a few months, and after a few adrenaline rushes on these machines, I would not shut up for the rest of the trip. Yes, with everything going on in Las Vegas, I was more excited about a boat racing video game than anything else. Do not act as if you were surprised.

There was a visit to the Wynn and a night performance of the Dream, as well as some interesting shots of various art installations and bizarre pieces for sale, including a weird metal Popeye that looked like a giant Nintendo amiibo.

After all that was said and done, there was about 18% autonomy of my Galaxy Note 9 when I returned to the Venetian around midnight, and this after a full day of taking pictures (more than 100 individual photos ). let's say), spotify Spotify and YouTube streaming, several phone calls, several games of Fortnite, back and forth, web browsing, S Pen note taking and some cases of active use of GPS. Just to see what it would do, I did not recharge the phone overnight, and the next morning it still worked at about 10%. Pretty impressive, so I would bet that Samsung's "all-day battery" advertising is relatively honest. Of course, your mileage will vary depending on the size of the user you are, but after testing things, I would be pretty sure to release Note 9 for a long day without having to lug an external battery. .

I've also been able to test the Super Slow-Mo, and I hate to say it, but I've been a little disappointed with this feature. When it worked, the end result was really cool, especially with things like water that show a lot of detailed movement. But making the phone recognize the movement inside the designated "activation square" was very painful and would usually only trigger if I moved the phone slightly in front of my subject, which often resulted in a insufficient capture. It was even during chaotic scenes like the eruption of the Mirage volcano or in front of busy fountains. The technology is incredible, but I think the implementation needs to be further refined.

In terms of the photo, I would say that note 9 is very well behaved. The daytime shots were very detailed and of excellent color. Night shots / poor lighting (although they are not perfect, of course) show impressive detail and clarity, especially considering the conditions. Keep in mind that all these photos were taken using the Auto mode of Note 9. I did not crash with any Pro settings because I wanted to experience something out of the ordinary that most users will see when they will take pictures for family events, holidays and so on. But in the end (and all the reason I wanted to publish these photos), I want you to be the judge, to see the quality for yourself so you can make an informed purchasing decision. . So, check everything and tell me what you think. And thank you for coming with me for this very special trip to Las Vegas. It was … gambly?
