We are less than a week from the start of the next season of Fortnite. The developer Epic has now confirmed that Season 6 of his Royal Battle Game starts next Thursday, September 27, giving you only a few extra days to unlock the remaining rewards of Season 5. To help you, the studio offers a special bonus players can enjoy it for a limited time.

All this weekend, Epic rewards players with much more XP than usual in Fortnite. From now until 24 September, players will receive an additional XP Match of 400% in Battle Royale mode. The XP bonus event will only run on Mondays until 5 am, 8 am and 1 pm (BST), so you do not have much time to enjoy it. unlock some extra rewards before Season 6 arrives.

Season 5 should end the following day, September 25, making it the last chance to finish the remaining challenges. Epic deployed 10 weekly batches of missions throughout Season 5, as well as 10 Road Trip Challenges – the equivalent of Season 5 Blockbuster Challenges – which could only be achieved by completing all the tasks during a given week. If you still need help to meet one of the challenges, you can find tips for each of our Fortnite Season 5 challenges.

We still do not know what to expect from Season 6, but strange events took place at Fortnite before the new season. Last August, a mysterious purple cube appeared on the map after a flash emerged from the giant rift in the sky and hit the desert. Epic did not officially recognize the cube, but players quickly discovered that he would react differently depending on how they interacted with him.

More recently, the cube started rolling slowly around the island. Fans had many theories as to where the cube was heading, but earlier this week, it sank into Loot Lake, turning the entire lake into purple and bouncing. We still do not know how it will be related to season 6, but with the new season approaching, everything should be revealed in a few days.
