Instagram will delete the fake I like and follows

Instagram wants to fight against fake likes, follow and comments by removing them more actively. All fake I like accounts and accounts that use third-party services to get more commitment will now be removed for violation of the Community Rules and Terms of Use of the platform, a announced the company under the policy change today.

Instagram said they have developed self-learning moderation tools that will help identify accounts that use these services and automatically remove likes, follow-ups, and comments. All accounts identified as using third-party apps to increase their popularity will be notified on Instagram that their fake tastes have been removed. They will also be prompted to change their password if third-party apps have compromised the security of their account.

As Instagram becomes a platform for influencers and brands to offer more products, more and more accounts will inevitably turn to third-party applications to artificially increase the popularity of publications. Just this week, The New York Times reported the phenomenon known as "nanoinfluencers", or people with only 1,000 followers now trying to win free products in exchange for advertising these articles on Instagram. As with the crackdown on Twitter robots, eliminating fraudulent activity is a problem that Instagram will have to continue to tackle if it wants to protect the integrity of its advertising activities.

Although Instagram has long since removed fake accounts, it has not taken any action against fake ones yet. According to the company's press release, the platform plans to take more action against dummy activities in the coming weeks.
