Many Sony fans are disappointed today to learn that there will be no PlayStation Experience (PSX) this year, although the event has taken place over the last four years. This is not in the charts for 2018, and Shawn Layden, of Sony, explained why on the PlayStation blogcast:
"We will not have it in the United States this year," he said. "The reasons behind this is that we do not have … we have a lot of progress that we make in our games … Now that we have Spider-Man at the door, we are in 2019 games like Dreams and Days Gone. "
Sony had a great year with the release of God of the war and Spider Manbut it seems like things are shrinking to the point where they really do not have everything to share. I had Google what dreams was same, and the fact that The last of us part 2 is not even mentioned here implies that the game is still miles away, and may not even happen next year.
But there is one thing that has not been said here that can have a lot to do with this decision. The Xbox One is selling … less well, and I think Microsoft is probably impatient to move on. And I do not think they want to compete with Sony again, given the poor situation in 2013. The year 2019 may be less unrealistic for them.
