I'm still in the mood for fries, so this test was a no-brainer. I had the tastiest fries I could find, ate some of them, greased my hands and narrowly avoided the temptation to lick my fingers.

This impression stood out like a sore thumb from the others and seemed equally obvious on both phones. I could see oil, salt and a little pepper in the engravings. The fat has even begun to drain on the sides. Do not worry, no fries were wasted in the S9 gold trials – I continued to chow until the bag of delight was empty.

Test 4: Almond Butter

What's more persistent than fat to fry? The oils in the food like the almond butter toast, which just seems to hang on my fingertips even after I've washed my hands.

To test this effect on the unsuspecting smartphone, I threw almond butter on a plate. oily spread. Even after I wiped my hands, the leftover residue was still strong enough to leave a mark on both phones.

Although this fingerprint is not as fat or prominent as the delicious French fries, I could say that the last test also affected both phones, and held the same rank on the spotted ladder.

Gold Galaxy S9 verdict: It still stains

Although the satin finish makes the phone less shiny and reflective, the golden Galaxy S9 still recovers the same amount of finger fat as the more brilliant Galaxy S9 purple. If anything, the lighter gold color does a better job of hiding the prints than the dark purple, but they are still there.
