Samsung is preparing a Galaxy S10, tenth anniversary, which will offer users a lot of interesting features, according to recent reports. Examples include under-the-screen fingerprint sensors and a triple-lens camera. According to various reports, Samsung will manufacture three separate versions of the Galaxy S10, with a fourth variant of the most expensive model, which should also offer 5G connectivity. But a new report from Korea reveals interesting details on the flagship phones that Samsung has planned later, including Note 10 and the Galaxy S11. It may be that these devices are as brave as the iPhone 7.

A little over two years ago, Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 at a regular iPhone event in September, thus confirming rumors that the phone would not have a headphone jack. It was a massive move by Apple, known to be the first to kill outdated technology and replace it with modern alternatives. Apple was not the only company to remove the 3.5mm audio port from its phone, but it was the only one to have received strong criticism that year.

Companies such as Google, Samsung and others have made fun of Apple's decision. But last year, Google removed the headphone jack, recognizing the fact to make all-screen handsets. Other supporters of the port have followed this year. OnePlus has just announced that the OnePlus 6T will not have a 3.5mm jack.

Samsung, which has been mocking Apple relentlessly during its product launches, would do the same thing starting with the Galaxy Note 10 or the Galaxy S11. according to ETNews, one of the two flagship phones will be the first Samsung device to have a USB-C port, which will work with a USB-C headset. Samsung will also provide a dongle in the box to ease the transition from 3.5mm to USB-C.

The report also states that there is no apparent reason why Samsung wants to remove the aging port, but the design of the smartphone could be an explanation. By removing the plug, Samsung would release some internal space that could be used to increase the size of the battery, add other components or eliminate the bottom cover while making the phones thinner than their predecessors.

The fact that wireless headphones are becoming more popular since Apple introduced the AirPod alongside the iPhone 7 also explains why Samsung would be more willing to remove the plug than before. Whatever it is, we all knew that it would only be a matter of time before Samsung would copy Apple, even though it was making a mockery of the company in so many commercials.
