I've replaced my iPhone 6 with an XR and here's how you feel

I finally succumbed.

For two absurdly simple reasons.

On the day of the launch of the iPhone XR, at 10 o'clock, there were very few people in the Apple Store that I visited.

"I have been here for two hours," said a salesman. "And I have not talked to one customer so far."

He thought that there would be long queues.

"There were four of us this morning at 8 o'clock," he admitted.

The second thing that sent me on the XR edge is that on the day of launch, this store had all the colors, at all levels.

I could actually look at the phones, see if they matched my eyes and my shorts, and take one with me. How often does it happen on launch day?

Of course, I chose the black XR. These blues and yellows were not very strong for the first hour of the morning.

So now, I picked it up once, went back to see both sides and decided that it would be the moment when I would part with my special cracked screen iPhone 6, that it's based in peace in a drawer.

I have to get the phone close to my face, watch it for a moment, and when dawn rises, it reacts as if to say, "Oh, that's it."

The biggest differences between iPhone XR and iPhone 6.

When you stay with a phone for several years, you start to compromise.

I would tolerate my 6 because it looked like 7 and 8. And once I'd reach that goal, I certainly would not buy the X, under the guise of crooked stubbornness.

With the XR, I have to adapt to both its size and weight. The battery inside is huge and you can really smell it.

When it comes to size, my thumb experiences a new form of Pilates in one-handed mode. It stretches higher than some years.

A few times, after holding the phone for a little while, I came back with both hands, which I never did with the 6.

Another particularity, the XR does not fit in the cup holder of my car. I know I know. I am a philistine. But that's where I used to slip my 6. It was happy there.

I have not found a new place for the XR yet. Maybe I will just have to buy a new car.

But then there is speed. Compared to my 6, the XR has the impression that someone gave him banned substances.

It's like going suddenly to Europe and realizing how much their Wi-Fi network is faster than that of the United States.

It's like trying to talk to someone who understands what you say, as opposed to someone who wants to fight to fight.

When you keep an old phone, you let yourself believe that everything is fine. But there is better.

Perhaps the most clever thing about the XR is that it still looks like an iPhone.

Being without a Home button is completely unnoticeable. Other than, when I slide to open, occasionally turns on my flashlight by mistake, because the icon is now on the home screen.

Otherwise, everything looks smart, tasteful and polite. And godly goodness, I kept it at less than $ 1,000 with 256 GB. I'm supposed to believe that it's a good deal, right?

Which leaves only one question: Can I keep my XR as long as I kept my 6?
