Obviously, BMW thought that our current crop of SUVs and SUVs was not large enough, so it made the X9 2019 whore gigantic. That's it. Meet him. See it Internalize it.
The new BMW land yacht will offer two models, the X7 xDrive40i and the X7 xDrive50i, for a price of 73,900 and 92,600 dollars respectively. And it's huge, everyone. It is 203.3 inches long (about 17 feet), 78.7 inches wide (6.5 feet) and 71.1 inches tall (about six feet). On its front, it has what, according to BMW, is "the largest kidney grill ever designed for a BMW model." I'm not sure that's a good thing.
To help the rear passengers get out more easily, the rear doors are longer than the front doors and offer an 8.7-inch ground clearance. The large windows apparently give a very airy atmosphere inside and the middle seats can be replaced by captain's seats.
Engine options include a 4.4-liter V8 or a 3.0-liter inline six, both coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The V8 is rated at 456 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The zero to 60 mph is reached in 5.2 seconds, which is fast!
The X7 also comes standard with a two-axle air suspension with automatic leveling. The air supply is individually controlled for each wheel with an "electrically driven compressor with pressure tank" which, according to BMW, will balance things up when the car is unequally charged. This looks cool, but also extremely expensive to repair in case of a breakdown.
Customers can pre-order the X7 from mid-October online via BMWUSA.com. Dealers will then help define final options and colors. You can then go home to your new Bavarian assault tank.
