Katamari Damacy is a cult classic for a reason: released in 2004, this is a puzzle game that involves rolling a ball in a whimsical world and grabbing all kinds of objects. There are not many games on sticky balls, and I bet Katamari Damacy is the only game that allows you to capture an entire mountain with one.
Long a PlayStation 2 game, it came out in multiple versions for other platforms, but now a remastered version of the original comes on PC. Check out the trailer below, aired for the first time at the Nintendo Direct presentation this week.
There is a story, if you are interested. "The King of all the Cosmos knocked out all the stars in the sky after a night of intense amusement." Making his mistake, the King instructed his young son, the Prince, to go to Earth and collect as many things as possible recreate the missing celestial bodies.
"Paper clips, books, cars, buildings, mountains and continents, nothing is too big or too small for the Prince and his adhesive Katamari ball."
He goes out on Steam on December 7th.
