Kia unveils its Telluride SUV fantasy during New York Fashion Week

You are probably sitting on your couch thinking to yourself: "Is this still New York Fashion Week? It's like every year! and indeed, that's the case. You know who has not forgotten? Kia. In fact, Kia teamed up with fashion designer Brandon Maxwell to create a special, unique, custom-made version of his future Telluride SUV, which debuted at Maxwell's show tonight. Here we are.

So, first of all, this is not the production Telluride, so do not be too excited about the ladder and the basket or even the snorkel. We will not see the production version until January in Detroit. Yet we can draw a considerable amount from this platform and we usually like what we see.

This Telluride is inspired by Brandon Maxwell's 2019 collection, designed and named after Texas. The large honey-colored leather panels (which work perfectly here) and the matching solitary stars make it quite clear. Apart from that, the non-fashionable parts of the car look great and all the charity is really great.

"When I left Marfa, Texas, where I designed my SS-19 collection, I started talking with Kia," said fashion designer Brandon Maxwell. "I wanted a partner who could meet a need in Marfa's public education system and Kia was looking for a unique integration for their new Telluride, which was natural because Kia has a long history of philanthropic initiatives that support not only fund the technological purchases and educational programs needed to give Marfa's children the quality education they deserve, but also provide a vehicle for the use of local teachers. Anyway, now that our hearts are sufficiently heated, on the vehicle. The outside is a little square and seems ready to be completely off-piste, although we genuinely doubt that it is a challenger of the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Telluride packs a V6 under the hood, though our V6 and whether or not there are screwed turbos, has been left to our imagination.

The interior looks a lot like a more robust version of the K900 and it's certainly a good thing. It also has three rows of seats and if the materials inside the Stinger or K900 level mentioned above, for example, the Telluride will be a very nice place to spend time. The loading area is lined with leather and wood, and although Kia did not provide us with photos, we think it sounds dope.

Kia needs a more stylish people carrier than the Sedona and a bigger SUV than the Sorento and this perfectly meets the need. The Telluride, inspired by Texas, is a serious teaser and we are looking forward to getting our hands on the production version.
