Kuo: New iPad Mini coming soon from the event next week, AirPower end 2018 / early 2019

Ming-Chi Kuo, eminent Apple analyst, presented some details on what we can hope to see Apple unveil during the event, as well as information on other products that we could see from Apple in late 2018 or early 2019.

Kuo has several interesting predictions, including an updated iPad mini and details on the launch of the AirPower.

Kuo says that we can expect to see two new iPad Pro models equipped with USB-C, improved displays and a new-design Apple pencil. No additional detail has been communicated about the improvements to be expected from the screens or the possible appearance of a redesigned Apple pencil.

All of these features have already been the subject of rumors about Apple's upcoming iPad Pro models, which should also include a face ID, edge-to-edge displays and no Home button.

According to Kuo, Apple will launch a new version of the iPad mini, which has not been updated for several years. Kuo says the device will feature an upgraded processor and a lower cost panel.

Kuo does not know, however, whether Apple will announce it during the media event or launch it a little later in the year or early next year, but if a model put is in preparation, it makes sense to launch it alongside the iPad Pro. .

Mac models

At the Apple event, we can expect to see several Mac updates with upgraded processors and other internal improvements. Kuo says we can count on a new, inexpensive laptop and updates on the MacBook, iMac and Mac mini.

According to Kuo, Apple may launch new AirPods and AirPower by the end of the fourth quarter of 2018, or the beginning of the first quarter of 2019, but it does not yet know the specific projects of the company.

It is possible that if Apple plans to launch the AirPower before the end of 2018, as promised, this could be mentioned during the October event, but Kuo does not say the same thing of the same way. The AirPower, unveiled for the first time in September 2017, is expected to charge three devices at once, including an iPhone, AirPod and Apple Watch, but it has been delayed for several months.

Regarding the AirPods, we can expect to see an upgraded wireless charging case that will work with AirPower with a new wireless chip that activates the "Hey Siri" feature.

The event organized by Apple in October will be held on Tuesday, October 30 at 10:00 am, Eastern time. This year's event takes place earlier than usual as it is held in New York instead of Cupertino.
