Launch of Huawei Mate 20: Livestream, start time, what to expect

Huawei will remove its latest super-phones, the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro, when it launches in London on Tuesday, October 16th.

Although we do not officially know all that Huawei will reveal, we know it will be the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro. The Mate series is Huawei's answer to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Google Pixel 3 XL – a larger phone with the best technology.

As is the case with the previous Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, it is expected that both phones share the same specifications and designs, but the Pro will probably have the advantage in terms of amount of RAM, storage capacity and almost certainly price. his nickname "Pro".

In terms of design, the phones should be bulky – some rumors suggest a giant screen of 6.9 inches on the Pro model – but with an end-to-end design, completed by a notch at the top.

With the camera, Evan Blass, a market intelligence specialist, posted on Twitter images of the phone with a rear-facing camera unit containing three separate lenses and a flash, as well as the Leica brand. This is not particularly surprising, since the Huawei P20 Pro already has three cameras. We will have to wait and see if the Mate's cameras work in the same way as the P20 Pro.

Rumors also hint at a fingerprint scanner on the screen, as well as a bidirectional wireless charging, allowing you to hold a wireless charging device against the Mate 20 to take in charge the Mate. Hopefully it also comes with a huge battery so you will not mind giving your power.

Huawei has already announced its latest high-end processor, the Kirin 980, so it is safe to assume that it will be in the Mate 20 Pro, at least, if not in the standard 20 Mate.
