Leaked Pixel 3 Lite spotted next to Pixel 3

Earlier this year, Google's new Pixel 3 smartphones were leaked several times before their official announcement in October. The story is already repeating itself with a new mid-range model called Pixel 3 Lite. With less powerful specifications and a lower price than expected compared to the standard Pixel 3 model, the new Pixel 3 Lite was spotted for the first time a little over a week ago, followed quickly by details additional. We now have another look at the unannounced device in the wild, this time next to his brother Pixel 3.

Posted for the first time by a Russian user of Twitter @jc_ru, the new photo immediately erases the differences between Pixel 3 and Lite. Shown on the left, the Pixel 3 Lite has a larger 5.56-inch screen, with a ratio of 18.5: 9, compared to the Pixel 3 (on the right) with its 5.5-inch screen inches and a ratio 18: 9.

Apparently, the code name "Sargo" of the Pixel 3 Lite would be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, associated with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Although it's a slower chip than the Pixels 3 and 3 XL, the Lite shares a surprising number of specifications with its siblings that make it just as attractive, if not more, for many Android users.

First of all, like the standard Pixel 3, the Lite does not use a notch in its display. It also has the same 12.2MP camera on the back as the Pixel 3, which means that even though it's mid-range, it instantly features some of the best smartphone photography capabilities . The Pixel 3 Lite also borrows the same battery of 2 915 mAh Pixel 3, but the real gem is: the Lite has a headphone jack. Apart from the differences between the processors, the only other major drawback is that the non-commercial peripherals remove the dual lens configuration of the front camera.

With leaks and sightings of the Pixel 3 Lite increasing, it's likely that an official Google announcement is fast approaching. The price of the device has not been announced, nor the expected release date, but the real question is whether the Lite will be available in all markets, along with Pixel 3 and 3 XL, or if it is intended only for specific regions.
