LG V40 ThinQ and its five cameras are finally official – BGR

The other day, we saw the flagship rendition of the LG V40 ThinQ, a week before its official announcement, and LG announced the phone in Korea. As before, the company unveiled its phone a few days earlier on its home market, leaving aside many details on the phone.

In the press release, LG focuses on the V40 ThinQ's design, while the slightly misleading video below discusses the phone's five cameras.

No, the V40 ThinQ does not have five rear-facing cameras, in your opinion. Instead, we look at a triple-lens camera at the back and a dual selfie camera. The camera specifications were not revealed in the press release.

The announcement aims to convey a simple message that the V40 ThinQ will deliver "beautiful beauty". This is the approximate version of Google Translate of what LG meant.

LG says the phone has a glass sandwich design, the back panel has been sandblasted for a "silky feel". The rear glass retains its characteristics of strength and hardness to tempered glass. As a result, it will be resistant to scratches, fingerprints and dirt, but soft to the touch. The metal frame, meanwhile, "is treated with glitter."

The V40 ThinQ will be available in three colors, including platinum gray, carmine red and Moroccan blue.

The phone is the same size as the V30, says the company, but the V40 has a 6.4-inch screen thanks to a smaller bezel. There is no mention of a notch, but we already know that the V40 ThinQ has one. Here's what the V40 ThinQ press does not do, LG does not exactly show the complete phone in the images it just published:

LG has not mentioned any specifications or availability details, so we have to wait for the official announcement next week to find out more about this beautiful beauty.
