You look at what is supposed to be the fastest SUV in the world – the new Lister LFP. Essentially a Jaguar F-Pace seriously revamped by the rejuvenating tuning firm Lister, she has a top speed of 200mph and a higher acceleration than many supercars.
Such a muscular performance is released by a 670hp output. All the technical details have not been confirmed yet, but it's clearly a supercharged V8 Jag F-Pace SVR that came out of the gym, to the sound of the first specs.
This is the production car that debuted as Project Thunder. We think we prefer this previous name to the rather sterile LFP production badge, but that's what happens when the complex worlds of car names and intellectual property collide …

So how fast is the new Lister Lister?
Quite quickly, judging by the performance statements issued by Lister. No more than 60 mph takes just 3.5 seconds and lightweight carbon fiber body panels contribute to a not yet specified mass cut to stimulate acceleration and handling.
The use of exotic materials is responsible for the price increase, which sees the retail sale of LFP products at "around £ 140,000". Expect more details in the coming months as specifications and full details come up.
The Lister Motor Company is the oldest British racing car company with 65 years of continuous heritage. It was bought by father and son combo Andrew and Lawrence Whitaker in 2013 when they announced the Jaguar Knobbly Continuation cars (all 10 sold the first month).
The relationship with Jaguar is continued and the new product surge are all custom creations based on Jag. The company says the interest is strong and its head office moves to new premises in northwestern England as it continues to expand.
