Google unveiled its domestic hub alongside Pixels 3 and 3 XL earlier this week and has focused on the possibility of using it as a smart photo frame. The device has taken advantage of the power of Google Photos to access all your photos stored in the cloud and display them in a live photo frame. However, the precise details of how it works and the different controls available have not been fully explored.
One of the best features of Google Photos is the ability to automatically upload your photos. By combining this feature with the ability to use them on a screen, your live photo frame would now have instant access to every photo taken. That's what the Home Hub does with Google Photos Live Albums, which automatically sends your photos to the device to show you an ever-changing slideshow.
AndroidPolice has also noticed the possibility, in a disassembling APK Photos, to show the possibility of selecting only the faces of certain people to appear on the Home Hub via facial recognition already programmed. For example, you may only want the home hub to display your children's pictures in a certain room and you will be able to do so with the home hub.
In addition to facial recognition, Google will use its artificial intelligence features to analyze blurry images or simply screen captures to filter them to avoid creating a random screen capture from your home screen on your home hub. Google's Ian Lake also confirmed that the Live Album feature that automatically transfers images to devices works with anything that uses the Google Photos API. This means that in addition to the Home Hub, any smart display should also benefit from the same features.
Live Albums has not yet been posted in the Google Photos app, but the Home Hub is preparing to be delivered shortly, so we can expect that a day be immediately applied to the application.
