The Logitech Pencil Pen, previously reserved for educational buyers only, will finally reach a wider audience on September 12, the same day as the Apple iPhone event.

The product will be available at Apple stores on that date, said Logitech. It should also be available on the Apple and Logitech websites this month and reach third-party vendors in October.

The non-educational price will be $ 69.99, which is $ 20 more than the cost of the stylus on Apple's educational portal. According to the company, schools outside the United States and Canada will soon have access to similar reductions.

The Pencil is based on the same technology as the Apple pencil, which gives it an edge over other iPad styluses in terms of response. It also allows automatic rejection of the palm and control of the thickness of the line by adjusting the tilt. However, the pressure sensitivity of the Apple pencil is absent.

The accessory is designed exclusively for the iPad "budget" 2018. In fact, it has been announced by its side, sold as a more affordable way to introduce stilettos in schools than the Apple Pencil at $ 99, which also works with iPads.

The Pencil has a 7-hour battery recharged via a Lightning cable. Replaceable tips are available to deal with wear.
