Mega Man 11 launches a new explosive boss

Mega Man 11 is fast approaching, with only two of the eight Robot Masters revealed up here. We can now do three because Capcom just take another on his official blog. Blast Man is a theatrical showman who occupies an abandoned theme park that he has revised after his own "Blast Man Adventure".

As its name indicates, Blast Man throws bombs, then hits his Power Gear to create super bombs. with bigger explosions. Your reward for defeating it is the Chain Blast, a sticky bomb that can neutralize enemies or get chained with other Chain Blast bombs for multiple detonations. Using the Power Gear makes the explosions huge.

The announcement also revealed a new game mode, Balloon Attack. It's similar to a Time Attack mode, but rather than enemies, the stages are littered with colorful balloons. You will need to pop blue balloons and avoid popping red balloons to keep your run through the stages.

Blast Man joins Fuse Man and Block Man as the three Robot Master bosses known to date.
