Special Pokemon Go Events in Chicago, Japan and Germany resulted in a new event in the popular mobile game for the months of September and October, including Mewtwo's participation in the Raids for All.
The Ultra Bonus event starts on September 13th and ends on October 23rd and features the legendary Kanto Bird Trio as well as the aforementioned Mewtwo.

LEGENDARY BIRD RAIDS
Starting September 13 at 4 pm EDT, Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos will appear in raids around the world until September 20.
All three have had their own Community Day events in the past, but will be present for a week to give Pokemon Go Players have another chance of catching these rare Pokemon (as well as their brilliant forms).

Kanto Pokémon will also appear more often in the wild and in raiding battles.
MEWTWO RAIDS
The biggest update of Pokemon Go is the inclusion of the battles of Mewtwo raids. From September 20th at 4 pm Players will be able to face the powerful psychic type Pokémon until October 23rd.
Previously, Mewtwo was only available to fight if coaches were invited to EX Raids, but for a month, players will have the opportunity to catch this rare Pokémon. Niantic has not confirmed if these Mewtwo will have a chance to appear as Shiny, but we'll update as soon as we learn more.
NEW EGGS 7KM
Another update on Pokémon Go affects what appears in the 7-km eggs. The first exclusive regional Pokémon, Farfetch'd, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Tauros will join the Pokémon Alolan in 7 km of Eggs until the end of September.
These four Pokémon are among the rarest in the game, so trainers will want to pick and chop these eggs as soon as possible.
