Microsoft may want to consider renaming the now infamous 10 October 1809 version of Windows 10, updated. It had to be removed from the public first because of critical bugs when deleting files. It suddenly reminds me of the moment when Windows 10 made you use "Movies and TV" instead of Windows Media Player. . .
Or that moment in 2017, when Microsoft accidentally deleted Windows Media Player from Windows 10.
As with most bugs of this nature, it is difficult to determine the extent of the problem. This is certainly not a disabling problem (instead use VLC instead), but I find it puzzling that a problem like this can be introduced into such a mature software.
In a mid-defensive, half-praised blog post from Microsoft, associated with the reissue of the Windows 10 October update, it was written:

However, maybe Microsoft should go back to the "it just works" mentality for at least the next few months. This bug is not a major problem, but it is another bug that seriously tarnishes Windows 10's reputation and Microsoft's quality assurance methods.
As a reminder, I have been using Ubuntu Linux for almost six months. I did not lose any files. My audio has never stopped working, I can choose new default applications at any time. My laptop never restarted unexpectedly for an update or for any other reason. Seriously, I keep beating this drum because, if you do not really do it to have To use Windows 10, there are alternatives of superior quality.
