Microsoft Surface event 2018: 5 things to expect

Microsoft is hosting a media event on Tuesday in New York. Described only as a "moment of your time," the event will likely focus on surface hardware, Windows 10 features, and Microsoft's new productivity to win back consumers. Microsoft Surface chief Panos Panay will be attending the event and it will be the first big Surface / Windows press event since the departure of former Windows CEO Terry Myerson over the summer. We expect to see a new model with the latest Intel processors and a black color variant. Microsoft has not generally offered color variations with the Surface Pro (as is the case with the entire Surface Laptop), so we can also see additional colors. Microsoft is in the process of revising the Surface Pro design in 2019, which means that the latter model will likely be an updated version of Surface Pro with few design changes.

It's been two years since Microsoft unveiled the Surface Studio at a press conference in New York.
