A new Microsoft patent application surfaced online, featuring a new type of display and a direction in which Surface devices will rotate. Microsoft is no stranger to creating 2 in 1 products, but has it gone too far this time?
Although nothing in the patent includes a particular name or number for a Microsoft product, its design is consistent with the current Surface Market Series.
The patent scheme shows a new type of touch screen surface on the back of the device, as indicated by the "metal writing surface" inscribed on the screen. ;picture.
Conceptually, this is a clever way for Microsoft to use some of the lost space at the back of the device that other companies have not tried yet.
The demand for smaller but more powerful personal devices has certainly boosted this design, with Microsoft's details in the patent:

The metal angle of the new touch screen / interactive area of the unit helps to preserve its "uniformity of color and tone" between the screen and the case. The appearance of the device is just as important as the current power and productivity.
Another proposed version of the back panel will use an OLED display or an LCD / LED display that will turn on when the Surface Pro is closed.
