AThis year's minecon just passed, the Swedish developer, Mojang, unveiled a new title in their very popular Minecraft called world Minecraft: Dungeons.
As the name suggests, dungeons will be an action-adventure game inspired by dungeon crawlers. It means labyrinthine mines, terrifying enemies and tons of loot and gear. Great. It is developed by a small internal Stockholm-based team in Mojang and describes it as follows:
"It's a brand new adventure and action game inspired by classic dungeon robots, where you'll constantly discover new weapons and new items that will help you defeat a raging swarm of new and evil monsters. You will fight or flee into canyons, swamps and, of course, mines!
You can brave the game alone or team up with up to three other adventurers to save villagers from the evil Arch-Illager. The trailer features some simple classes such as wizard / mage, a knight and maybe some sort of thug / adventurer? There is no doubt that the game will feature exciting new villains (the trailer suggests huge bosses), but also a good booty and I imagine procedural elements or rogues.
Although located in the same universe as MinecraftThe team reportedly stated that there would be no blocking or block-building strategy, but rather a focus on dungeon exploration, which is more linear and dynamic.
Minecraft: Dungeons must be released on PC in 2019.
