Mobvoi has announced another addition to its smartwatch range at an event in London today: the TicWatch C2 (Classic 2). The $ 200 watch runs on Wear OS and is equipped with NFC technology to support Google Pay. It comes in pink gold, black and platinum colors. (The rose gold version is slightly thinner for smaller wrists.) The watch is available for pre-order now and is scheduled to launch on December 6th.

The C2 is the sequel to Mobvoi's original TicWatch 2, launched for the first time on Kickstarter. Mobvoi's first watches were running on its own Android-based operating system and on its own voice assistant software before the company switched to the Wear OS platform. The updated C2 also has a longer battery life of about two days and an IP68 waterproof rating.

The design of the C2 is much finer than the company's latest smart watch, the TicWatch Pro dual-screen, with its stainless steel fronts and leather straps. It is powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip from Qualcomm, which appears to be a missed opportunity as Qualcomm releases its new Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip later this year.

Mobvoi also announced today that its AirPods clone, the TicPods Free, was now available online. Earphones collected more than $ 2.8 million from Indiegogo last year and are now selling for $ 129.99 in white, blue and red colors. They are compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri, as well as Android and the iPhone. The battery life is about 18 hours and a 15 minute charge gives you about 85 minutes of listening time.
