As its name suggests, the C2 TicWatch has a look that reminds you of a classic watch – you know, the kind at the time when watches only took the hour. Its round body, available in 18 mm or 20 mm, is available in three colors: pink gold, black or platinum. (The rose gold is only available on the smaller version.) A leather strap accompanies clothes, regardless of their size or finish, and all versions are water-resistant .
A major change for the TicWatch C2 over its predecessor is the move to the Google Wear operating system. Previous models of TicWatch used the company's Ticwear operating system, which leveraged the company's knowledge of artificial intelligence to produce recommendations such as time and place-based recommendations. By adopting Wear OS, the C2 should have more compatibility with third-party applications that otherwise would not fit into the Ticwear ecosystem. The TicWatch Pro, released earlier this year, also uses Wear OS.
The TicWatch C2 also benefited from technical improvements over the original version, including NFC support for wireless payments via Google Pay. Google Assistant is integrated with the watch to answer your pressing questions or to send you SMS. Like the Classic before it, the C2 also includes health and fitness features enabled by GPS tracking, heart rate sensors, a gyrometer and an accelerometer. With its 400mAh battery, Mobvoi claims that you should be able to shoot two days of using the C2.
Mobvoi's latest smartwatch will be available for pre-order starting today but will not be shipped until the first week of December. The watch starts at $ 199.99.
